Elvira and the Party Monsters for VP / Pinmame Table recreation by Highrise & JPSalas 2006/7 Here you go guys, our latest labour of love. This table probably has more effects on it than any table I've seen, and as such it requires a fast CPU to run with everything switched on. But use the menu to disable different items (backglass lighting is always a good start) and you should find a level you can play it at happily. I got it to look good, JP got it to play good, it was a team effort. Special thanks to all who Beta tested, and all who have commented here, it has kept us going. I hope if nothing else it might inspire others to get into authoring as well, VP can still surprise you. Hope you enjoy it! Today is JP's birthday too so wish him well! HR Quick menu guide : From the menu, tick the boxes to DISABLE: Backglass GI, Playfield GI - obvious Playfield animations - this will make the animations run as two frames which is less demanding Fading lights - obvious Multiball only - use this to apply your choices only when in multiball, allowing full effects during single ball play. Arcade Ambience - You need the arcadeambience2.mp3 to enable this. It plays typical sounds from an arcade to add to the atmosphere. Backglass lights - if you disable the backglass lights, you will see a significant improvement in performance. LED display - this will switch of the custom LED display and use the VPM one instead - saves a bit of CPU time Switching off VP performance settings such as 'antialias ball' will also help, as will running at a lower resolution. Playfield Light - Elvira has four different options for overall playfield lighting. Day and Night are light and medium. Witching hour switches off G.I completely making the table very dark. System clock changes the playfield lighting according to the time of day you have on your system clock. Extras: If you would like to change the Skull eyes to red as per the prototype, or use the 'skull' plunger as seen in Robert Winter's custom table, change the reel images for skull1, skull2 and outside plunger. These reels have been coloured red in the editor so you can see them easily. Change skull1 to skull1red, skull2 to skull2red, and outsideplungerA to outsideplungerB. In each of these cases, you are selecting the image one step below in the list.
